Today I am going to show you all the poses of the Buddha and their meanings.

Below is Meditation. The name Simran means meditation so..
Below: Luang Prabang is named after the Prabang Buddha which stands in this pose. It was a gift from Sri Lanka!
Can you mach the Buddhas we saw all over Luang Prabang, Laos to the Buddhas Simi did for you??

Luang Prabang is also famous for these colorful glass sculptures on the walls.

Luang Prabang is known for its many Monks. We went to the alms ceremony where you give the Monks food. It was such a great experience even though the lady selling the food scamed us.

Its nice video. Simi's explanation helped me a lot on understanding different poses of Budha, which I had seen many through the life journey. Now I wish I knew this information before. But it is never too late. Thanks a lot!

Luang Prabang is one of my favorite places in the world. It's so calm and peaceful and not surprising, a UNESCO World Heritage location (the entire town). What did you think of the mighty Mekong?
The Alms ceremony is quite special. The monks meal for the day is what they collect that am. Perhaps it is like Halloween and they compare their collection pots and swap things too! :)
