A bumpy ride to The Field of Lights- by Simran

On the last day in Uluru, we rode camels to the field of lights. This was a great ending of my 3 days in Uluru. We took a smelly bus to where all the camels were. We go out and saw about 20 camels sitting down in 2 rows. We got on our camel. It had stand up so you had to lean back so you wouldn't fall. It felt like you were going to fall off the camels back!

The first camels name was Lucky and the one behind it is Milo (Milo was better). We went up and down hills and went on many fun paths on the camels. When we got to the field of lights, we got off the camels and went to the dunetop. We ate really gross canapes and my parents drank a lot of wine. We watched the sunset.

Then we went down to the field of lights. The field of lights is an art instillation of lights that change color and is located at the base of Uluru. It was amazing!

There were bulbs everywhere and they were changing colors. I couldn't believe my eyes. If I could rate the camel ride and the field of lights on a scale of 1 to 10, I would definitely rate it a 10!

Dear Sim - Terrific post! I am glad you were on Milo! I am wondering if a camel was in the bus with you? Insert Emoji here. Uluru is magical and such a special place for the Aboriginal people. I think you really got that experience!

The Field of Lights is plain cool. Your parents drank champagne. And by your account, a lot of it :) It's different than wine, but made from grapes. That's a lesson for another day when you get older! Sorry for all the bad food. I completely agree. A diet of yogurt and toast. I did much of the same...Kings canyon was worse. Love, love your posts. You are tearing it up over there and…
