Bali is filled with fresh fruits and vegetables and when you eat out you can get an awesome tropical fruit plate or fresh salad filled with vegetables, seeds and nuts. If you are ver going to try to be vegeterian or vegan- this is the place to be!
Here are some of the fruits we saw in the market. The mangoes are green when they are ripe and really sweet.

This is a snakefruit- the skin on the fruit is scaly like a snake, but it tastes a little bit like apple.

Have you ever had dragonfruit? I have seen it at Wegman's- it is worth trying.

The market also had jackfruit (we have been eating it in curries), and a ton of citrus- especially the kefir lime. The leaves are also used to season dishes and is both sour and savory.

Of course- there are also coconuts- young and old.

We have had coconut milk, used coconut oil, ate coconut yogurt and even had coconut ice cream. Definitely a place where you can stay away from dairy.
We also found some spices and got our guide to negotiate a good price for some saffron.

My breakfast for the last week has been fruit, coconut yogurt and palm sugar (jaggery). Take a look:

And...

I am going to need to work on my fruit salads when I get back to Rochester.

These fruits look so tempting especially Mangos which was our breakfast growing up in India.

Nimish,
Beautiful pics! I could just grab 10 of those mangos right now. Love the jackfruit in curry. It’s not allowed in the hotels because of the smell in the heat! Love the post...
